Unit 2 Reflection Questions
1. Do you think humans will need to move to another planet? Why or why not?
* No, I don't think so. The Earth is the best place that has been made for humans, and there is no evidence for another suitable planet yet.
2. If it does happen that some humans move to another planet, would you volunteer to go? Why or why not?
* Absolutely not, we don't know what is waiting for us or what are the consequences of our actions. Even though if they prove that there are all the basic elements or humans, it is not enough.
3. Read this article about people who have signed up to move to Mars: http://www.cnn.com/2013/08/09/tech/innovation/mars-one-applications/index.html What is your reaction to this story?
* I think that it is the most dangerous act to do. They have to send robots instead of people to make sure about the results of their assumption.
4. What do you think Ray Bradbury wanted the readers of "All Summer in a Day" to understand? What did you think after reading this story?
* He wanted to give us a message that no place will be like Earth, and people may regret of their choice which is moving to another planet. I definitely agree with him, I even cannot imagine living I another planet. Everything will change negatively, and we will face a huge lack of our natural needs.
I enjoyed reading your answers to the questions, and I think I do have the same idea about the subject. I see our planet is the best place ever. I agree with you that they should send robots instead of humans. But I was wondering why astronaut do not tell us what is the problem exactly earth suffering from that we need to leave it and try to find substitute for it? If you have any idea about that I will be appreciate to shear it with me. Thanks

I think they want us to have like a back up plan if anything happen suddenly to the Earth. Also, they are afraid from the global warming.

It is all rational thinking. I'm 100% agree with you, but still I have a question for you .if they give you the choice between die in earth or have a good life in other planets which one will you choice? why or why not?

You see now earth faces a lot of disasters that humans can't prevent them and these disasters destroy what we have built in many years. In addition as Ibrahim Alabri mentioned in the class that we took a lot of things form the core of the earth such as oil and gas...etc, that we don't know what the consequences that would wait us!!!

DeleteI agree with you in some way. However, if we move to another planet, we might face disasters that are greater from earth. You don't know also what are the consequences of our action of moving. Therefore, I think that it's better to solve our problems in earth and try as much as we can to prevent all actions that could lead to those disasters. It is all depending on us. We have to overcome our problems not just escape from them. I believe that nothing impossible.

No, if I go they will control us completely because I definitely will see them in other planets.
We have to fight them until the last moment.
