Questions related to The Kite Runner- Chapter # 6&7

1. What do you think you would have done if had you been in Amir's place when he saw Hassan being attacked by Assef and his gang? Would you have had the same reaction? Why or why not?
* When I read that Amir ran away, I got angry and worry about what had done to Hassan. But, I did not put myself in Amir's place. After a deep thinking, I find this decision is very difficult decision to make by Amir. But if I were him, I will not betrayed a person who did a lot for me because even if I ran away, the feelings of guilty will chase me forever.

Questions related to The Kite Runner- Chapter # 4&5

1. How do you feel about the fact that neither Baba nor Amir consider Ali and Hassan to be their friends?
* I feel sorry and ashamed because this phenomenon is not just in the story, it is our reality and for me I noticed this action a lot in my society. People see others who are from a low class like they are nothing, and treat them differently. They forget that those low class people are humans and have their own dignity  just like them. They do not bother themselves to feel or understand the pain and the suffer that those low class people face.

Questions related to The Kite Runner

1. Which character do you like the most at this point? Why?
* I really liked the character of Hassan's father. He suffered a lot in his life, still he didn't show his pain to others and he controlled his emotions and his anger. I think he would sacrifice of anything to make others happy and pleased.

2. What has been surprising or interesting you about the story so far?
* The most surprising thing was Hassan's mother. I felt very sad while I was reading this part of his mother. Her actions stuck in my head till now, she has no mercy or emotions towards her first child, which is Hassan.

Post-World-Café Reflections

1. How did you feel about your discussion experience? What didi you enjoy and what was difficult?

* I really enjoyed from this experience, it was my first time. I enjoyed listening to my group memberslisting profiles was difficult because I was confused.

2. Which letter from #5 on page 1 was hardest to decide in your group? Why do you think it was the hardest?
* I didn't get the question, but I think number 3 was the hardest. My group members have different point of views about it. Personally, I see her the #1 when it comes to courage.

3. Was it easy or difficult to come to agreements with your groups? What made it easy and what made it challenging?
* Overall, it wasn't that difficult because we discussed our opinions together till we agreed about each other opinions

4. Were you happy with your group's definition of courage? What would you like to change, if anything?
* Actually no because I forget the word sacrifice. Courage is all about sacrifice. But they have a good definition.

Unit 2 Reflection Questions

1. Do you think humans will need to move to another planet?  Why or why not?
* No, I don't think so. The Earth is the best place that has been made for humans, and there is no evidence for another suitable planet yet

 2. If it does happen that some humans move to another planet, would you volunteer to go?  Why or why not?
* Absolutely not, we don't know what is waiting for us or what are the consequences of our actions. Even though if they prove that there are all the basic elements or humans, it is not enough.

 3.  Read this article about people who have signed up to move to Mars: http://www.cnn.com/2013/08/09/tech/innovation/mars-one-applications/index.html  What is your reaction to this story?
* I think that it is the most dangerous act to do. They have to send robots instead of people to make sure about the results of their assumption.

 4. What do you think Ray Bradbury wanted the readers of "All Summer in a Day" to understand?  What did you think after reading this story?
* He wanted to give us a message that no place will be like Earth, and people may regret of their choice which is moving to another planet. I definitely agree with him, I even cannot imagine living I another planet. Everything will change negatively, and we will face a huge lack of our natural needs.
